It always starts the same. Everybody on the dismounted patrol is thinking “fuck this dog if it comes at me i’ll kick it….” then we’re all like “oh guuyys it’s so cute let’s take it back and clean it and feed it *giggle giggle giggle*” then it bites or pisses on LT and it really becomes a keeper :-)
[Fifth picture is Eslinger and Smoke. Eslinger was injured and returned stateside not long after adopting Smoke. At six months, Smoke was reunited with him here in the States thanks to Nowzad and other charities. -R]
